Studie zachycuje postoje představitelů šlechtických rodů pobývajících v Čechách během Runcimanské misie v roce 1938. Řada bývalých šlechticů využila svého bohatství, společenského postavení a zahraničních kontaktů k vyhledání členů Runcimanské misie s cílem ovlivnit jejich názory na sudetoněmeckou krizi. Zatímco tábor sudetoněmeckých statkářů sdílel s lordem Runcimanem své kritické postoje k československé vládě, tábor loajální pročeské šlechty se snažil hájit oficiální vládní pozice.
In English
The study captures the attitudes of representatives of noble families residing in Bohemia during Runciman Mission in 1938. A number of former aristocrats used their wealth, social status and foreign contacts to seek out members of the Runciman Mission in order to influence their views on the Sudeten German crisis. While the camp of the Sudeten German landlords shared with Lord Runciman their critical attitudes towards the Czechoslovak government, the camp of the loyal pro-Bohemian nobility tried to defend the official government positions.
