Příspěvek se zabývá problematikou profesního vzdělávání zaměstnanců Vězeňské služby ČR v době pandemie covid-19. V úvodní části jsou popsány úkoly a zaměření Akademie VS ČR ve Stráži pod Ralskem, která je jedinou vzdělávací institucí pro potřeby Vězeňské služby ČR. Cílem příspěvku je seznámit čtenáře s prvními zkušenostmi související s přechodem od tradičního prezenčního vzdělávání a výcviku do distanční formy a popsat inovativní způsoby a přístupy v oblasti vzdělávání vězeňského personálu v době šíření koronaviru. Dále je věnována pozornost mezinárodní spolupráci a pořádání bilaterálních virtuálních setkání a odbornému jazykové vzdělávání formou webinářů.

The paper deals with the issue of professional training of employees of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic during the covid-19 pandemic. The introductory part describes the tasks and focus of the Academy of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic in Stráž pod Ralskem, which is the only educational institution for the needs of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic. The aim of the paper is to acquaint the reader with the first experiences related to the transition from traditional face-to-face education and training to a distance form and to describe innovative ways and approaches in the field of education of prison staff at the time of the spread of the coronavirus. Attention is also paid to international cooperation and the organization of bilateral virtual meetings and professional language training in the form of webinars.
