Gotické žezlo a jablko Království českého z původního souboru korunovačních klenotů z doby panování Karla IV. jsou nyní uloženy v rakouské dvorní klenotnici ve Vídni. Kniha se zabývá jejich historickým osudem i okolnostmi záměny za novější renesanční jablko a žezlo Ferdinanda I. Autor zdůrazňuje vlastnictví klenotů Českou republikou a poukazuje na nechuť orgánů České republiky vlastnictví těchto klenotů prosazovat a žádat o jejich vydání, které inicioval v roce 2018 moravský senátor Ivo Valenta. Kniha se věnuje také právnímu pojmu koruny a postavení korunovačních klenotů v republikách, především v Maďarsku a České republice.

Gothic scepter and apple of the Kingdom of Bohemia from the original set of coronation jewels from the reign of Charles IV. they are now stored in the Austrian Court Treasury in Vienna. The book deals with their historical fate and the circumstances of their confusion with the more recent Renaissance apple and scepter of Ferdinand I. The author emphasizes the ownership of the jewels by the Czech Republic and points to the reluctance of the authorities of the Czech Republic to assert the ownership of these jewels and request their release, which was initiated in 2018 by the Moravian senator Ivo Valenta. The book also deals with the legal concept of the crown and the position of the crown jewels in the republics, especially in Hungary and the Czech Republic.
