- Parts of the final state examination and its contentThe state examination consists of two parts/rounds and the defence of the final qualification thesis:
1. International Security Studies (Introduction to Security Studies, Global Security Threats, Armed Conflict and its Resolution, Violent Non-State Actors in International Politics)
2. Political Science (Foundations of Political Science, International Relations and International Organizations)
3. Defence of the final qualification thesis - Suggestion of theses topics and the topics of defended thesesEuropean security structures and organisations. Effectiveness of the security system and crisis management - large-scale migration waves, pandemics, etc. Prevention and resolution of conflicts in international relations. Substance abuse risks and drug trafficking in EU countries. Securitisation and desecuritisation: social construction and deconstruction of threats. Positive and negative effects of migration: threat or risk? Proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (selected cases).
