Residential facilities for seniors are at threat from various risks. The authorities and providers of residential social-service facilities are responsible for preparing for these risks and should take a pro-active approach to this issue and prepare for the resolution of emergency events. The entities responsible can be said, however, to not consider these risks in a comprehensive manner, but to focus generally merely on risks within the facility. The initial stage of crisis management is the identification of all risks (external and internal) that may have a negative impact on the health and life of the population and the operability of the organisation or facility. The aim of this chapter is to create a register of threats posing a risk to residential facilities for seniors and to propose a method to increase their crisis preparedness. Qualitative research methods were used to achieve this aim. An overview of supranational concepts, research of the literature and a SWOT matrix were performed. The results of the research will be progressively checked and verified at selected residential facilities for seniors.
