Text zdůrazňuje potřebu celostního přístupu – zahrnujícího respekt k autonomii, citlivou komunikaci, porozumění hlubším psychickým procesům, podporu smyslu a spirituálních potřeb – jako klíčového předpokladu pro poskytování skutečně lidské a důstojné zdravotní péče.

This article explores the significance of human dignity in the context of medicine from ethical, psychological, psychoanalytic, depth-analytic, existential, and theological perspectives. It demonstrates that patient dignity is a multidimensional phenomenon influencing the quality of care, psychological well-being, and therapeutic outcomes. The text highlights the need for a holistic approach—encompassing respect for autonomy, sensitive communication, an understanding of deeper psychological processes, and support for meaning and spiritual needs—as a key prerequisite for providing truly humane and dignified healthcare.
