Abstract

In the original language

The transportation of hazardous materials is an integral part of modern economy, yet it poses significant risks to the environment, property, and human health. This article focuses on analyzing these risks and proposing recommendations to enhance the safety of hazardous materials transportation based on a study conducted within a transportation company. The aim of this article is to analyze the risks associated with the transportation of hazardous materials and to propose recommendations aimed at enhancing safety in this area. Due to inherent risks such as leaks of hazardous materials and transportation accidents, it is essential to systematically analyze and manage the safety threats associated with transportation. Through the study within the transportation company, this article identifies key risks and suggests measures to minimize them. The article includes statistical data on transportation accidents from 2017 to 2022, showing a decrease in accidents involving ADR vehicles. However, severe injuries and material leaks still present significant risks. Key factors leading to extraordinary events include human factors, technical deficiencies, and external influences. Thorough analysis of these factors allows for the identification and management of risks. In conclusion, steps to enhance the safety of hazardous materials transportation are proposed, including risk identification, impact assessment, and implementation of preventive measures. These measures have the potential to minimize risks associated with hazardous materials transportation and improve the protection of human lives, property, and the environment.
