Příspěvek se věnuje odkazu Jana Amose Komenského v současné pedagogické praxi v Akademii Vězeňské služby ČR ve Stráži pod Ralskem. Akademie Vězeňské služby ČR je resortní vzdělávací institucí, kde se připravují a vzdělávají všichni nově nastupující příslušníci k bezpečnostnímu sboru Vězeňské služby ČR. Systém výuky a výcviku vychází z myšlenek Komenského, kde jsou didaktické zásady dále rozvíjeny a nacházejí své praktické uplatnění. V příspěvku je čtenář seznámen také s materiálními a technickým možnostmi, kde probíhá výuka, a to jak v hlavní budově, tak v nově otevřeném výcvikovém a vzdělávacím centru.

The paper is devoted to the legacy of Jan Amos Comenius in current pedagogical practice at the Prison Service Academy of the Czech Republic in Stráž pod Ralskem. The Prison Service Academy of the Czech Republic is a departmental educational institution where all new members of the security corps of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic are trained and educated. The teaching and training system is based on the ideas of Comenius, where didactic principles are further developed and find their practical application. In the article, the reader is also introduced to the material and technical possibilities where teaching takes place, both in the main building and in the newly opened training and education center.
