In the last three decades, television in particular has excelled in bringing us shows about morally problematic characters to whom the audiences are drawn despite their darkness. While lacking traditional heroic qualities, these characters – at times labeled as antiheroes – may be flawed, immoral, and destructive, while some of them even resort to violence and murder, but they still have certain qualities that the audiences find emotionally relatable
