Zateplení obvodového pláště přináší řadu benefitů pro stavbu i její uživatele. Jedná se ale velmi nákladnou součást stavby, jejíž ekonomická návratnost je dlouhodobá. Pro dosažení dostatečné fyzické životnosti je nezbytné dodržet velmi přísné technologické postupy realizace. Pokud v důsledku technologické nekázně dojde ke vzniku vad a poruch zateplení, je úkolem znalce vyčíslit ekonomické důsledky.

Thermal insulation (e.g. ETICS) of the building envelope represents many benefits to building and its users. ETICS is usually very expensive part of the building, with long-term economic return. To achieve adequate physical life cycle, it is necessary to respect very strict technological methods of realisation. If technological indiscipline will generate defects and failures of ETICS, the task of the expert is to quantify the economic consequences.
