Andragogy

The aim of the study programme is to prepare andragogical workers, especially in the field of adult education, support of personal and professional growth and counselling. A university-educated andragogical professional is able to address andragogical issues and to design, implement, develop and evaluate relevant andragogical interventions based on the study of a set of disciplines and their professional applications. Linking the development of competences for professional action and reflection on the basis of interdisciplinary andragogical discourse allows to approach andragogical activities innovatively and taking into account social transformation processes.

All available data on the employment of graduates from other universities in the Czech Republic show that the employability of graduates is not problematic. This is conditioned by the concept of the study, which enables employability in various areas of heterogeneous andragogical practice. Partly, it is also reflected in the higher number of students in the combined form of study who are already employed and are only supplementing the necessary academic knowledge and developing the competences already acquired in practice on the basis of the knowledge gained from their studies.
