The aim of the bachelor's, professionally oriented, study program Security Management is to prepare

graduates for the practice of managing and ensuring internal security and public order (in a broader sense, ie ensuring

the internal functions of the state, the protection of its democratic foundations, the protection of internal order, security and the rule of law,

protection of lives and health, property and the environment from threats originating in the territory of the state).

The aim is to provide graduates with the expertise, skills and general competences to perform security tasks

state policy in the field of internal security and public order by bodies and institutions within the public and

private sector of the Czech Republic.

  • Rules and Conditions for the Creation of a Study Plan

    The essence of the study plan consists of basic theoretical subjects profiling the basis of the study program (Fundamentals of Constitutional and Public Law, Risk Analysis, Risk Management and Settlement, Internal Security and Public Order) and subjects profiling the basis of the study program (Fundamentals of Public Law, Security System of the Czech Republic -

    functions, ties, problems, Security of municipalities and regions, Organization management, Crisis management, Population protection, Economic measures for crisis situations, Information systems and cyber security, Global security threats, Critical infrastructure protection technology, Technical protection of buildings, Criminal law and administrative punishment , Forensics, Human Resource Management). The content of the basic thematic areas of these subjects is reflected in the content of state final exams.

    Other compulsory subjects of the study program develop specific requirements for students' knowledge and competencies in accordance with the study goals and the graduate's profile. These are, in particular, Forensics, Public Administration and the EU, Fundamentals of Criminology, Crime Prevention, Security Management in the Private Sector, Fundamentals of Business Economics, and Security and Territorial Development. and Technical protection of buildings.

    Compulsory courses also include a set of courses that lead students to a bachelor's thesis. In the first semester, it is the subject Basics of Professional Work, in which students get acquainted with the basic rules of writing professional texts,

    with particular emphasis on academic ethics and integrity. This course is followed in the fourth semester by the course Methodology of Professional Work, where students are introduced to basic research methods, which

    used in the processing of the bachelor's thesis. The output of this course is the elaboration of the bachelor's thesis assignment, confirmed by the bachelor's thesis supervisor. The last subjects of this block are Bachelor seminar and Bachelor

    work, where students have space for discussion and presentation of theses of their work and formal requirements for its elaboration. An obligatory part of the study plan of the Security Management study program is the scope of students' practice

    12 weeks. The study plan also contains compulsory elective courses of type B - group 1 and group 2. Group 1 contains compulsory elective courses, which expand general and professional knowledge and skills by choosing according to needs and interests.

Students have a choice of three world languages-English, German and Russian. In the first semester of study, students choose one from a selection of foreign languages. Then they are divided into groups according to performance. At the same time, students must not choose a language that is their mother tongue from the choice of foreign languages. In the next two semesters (ie 2nd and 3rd semester) the student continues to study

    technical terminology in the field of security. selected language according to the achieved language level.

    The student's obligation is to choose and enroll (in compliance with the required continuity of subjects) mandatory and obligatory

    optional subjects. The student chooses a compulsory elective course from group 1 in the 2nd-6th Semester (1) and then chooses

    in 1.-3. semester one (1) foreign language so as to meet at least the minimum number of credits for the relevant year of study

    determined by the Study and Examination Regulations of the school.

    Students must obtain a total of compulsory and selected compulsory elective courses during the study period

    180 credits (100% of all credits). The ECTS credit system is used for credit evaluation.
