Parts of the final state examination and its content
The state exam consists of three parts: 1. Economics (selected relevant topics from Microeconomics and Macroeconomics; Statistics and Econometrics; Public Economics and Financial Management will be included in this course), 2. Management and public administration (selected topics from the subjects Management; Management and Economy in Public Administration; Local and Regional Development will be included in this course), 3. Defense of diploma thesis.
Requirements of the study
Professional experience - with regard to the professional orientation of the study program, data on professional practice, length, outputs and its organization are listed in a separate Annex B-IV on the basis of the methodological instruction of the National Accreditation Office.
Suggestion of theses topics and the topics of defended theses
The thesis topics will be focused as much as possible on practice and solving the requirements of practice, i.e. especially practical problems related to the management or management of organizations in public administration (state administration, local government, their organizations), or in the non-profit sector or companies. In the theoretical part of the thesis the student will demonstrate the ability to create a professional text using relevant Czech and foreign literature. Emphasis will be placed on the practical part of the thesis, which may take the form of a case study (solving a specific problem from practice), a comparative or other study, a set of investigations with its evaluation and proposal of measures, in the form of a project, in the form of a proposal to improve a specific problem, etc. Compared to the bachelor's thesis, great emphasis is placed on the student to demonstrate that he/she is able to successfully apply the acquired theoretical knowledge to a practical problem, to assess the problem or situation from a professional point of view and especially in a broader context (context), and thanks to this to propose and also adequately justify the chosen procedure for their solution or propose recommendations.
